Osteopath

Osteopathy is a form of non-invasive, hands-on therapy that works with the body's own capacity to heal, restore balance and ease discomfort. Rooted in the understanding that the musculoskeletal, nervous and connective tissue systems are deeply interconnected, osteopathic treatment looks beyond the site of pain to address underlying causes and support the whole person.

Avni Trivedi is an experienced and intuitive osteopath with twenty-one years of clinical practice, specialising in women's health and paediatrics, with a particular focus on the perinatal journey — from fertility and pregnancy through to postnatal recovery. She is also a qualified Birth Doula, Zero Balancer and Non-Linear Movement Teacher, bringing a richly integrative perspective to her practice that sets her apart within her field.

Avni holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Women's Health Osteopathy from the Molinari Institute of Health, an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy from the Osteopathic Centre for Children, and trained at the British School of Osteopathy. She also trained as a Birth Doula under the renowned Michel Odent and Liliana Lammers, and is a member of Birthworkers of Colour, which seeks to reconnect with the rich traditions of birth support passed between generations.

Her approach is gentle, precise and always tailored to the individual. Drawing from a broad range of techniques — including biomechanics for birth, pregnancy shiatsu, cranial osteopathy and zero balancing — she works with sensitivity and care to help restore ease, improve mobility and support the body through periods of significant change and transition.

With her understanding of the body as an integrated whole, Avni's treatments are never limited to the presenting complaint alone. An initial consultation will take into account the patient's wider physical and emotional landscape, allowing Avni to develop a treatment plan that addresses both symptoms and their root causes. She is also committed to supporting her patients between sessions, providing tailored movement, breathwork and body awareness practices to complement and extend the benefits of treatment.

Avni has a particular sensitivity to the emotional dimensions of women's health, and is experienced in supporting those navigating fertility treatment, pregnancy loss and grief — offering a rare combination of clinical skill and compassionate presence.
