At the practice
Dr Rachel Hines is a Menopause Specialist and Women’s Health GP offering expert care for women at all stages of life. She is on the British Menopause Society Specialist register, a member of the International Menopause Society, and serves on the clinical advisory panel for the menopause charity.

With over 20 years of medical experience, Dr Hines specialises in hormone replacement therapy (HRT), menopause management, perimenopause symptoms, contraceptive care and sexual health. She also uses non hormonal treatments to treat menopause symptoms. She provides in-person, telephone, and video consultations at Miss Claire Mellon & Associates.
Background
​Dr Hines graduated from the University of Leeds in 2001 and became a fully qualified GP in 2006. She holds postgraduate Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Paediatrics. She has completed Advanced Menopause Training through the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
She is interested in digital health, and is the Menopause Lead at Aneira Health, a digital health service focused on improving long-term outcomes in women’s health. Prior to this, she spent 17 years working in the NHS, as a GP specialising in women’s health and in Community Gynaecology.
Dr Rachel Hines is passionate about empowering women to take control of their health, using evidence-based treatments to support hormonal balance, menopausal wellbeing, and reproductive health.

Dr Hines is skilled in fitting intrauterine devices (IUDs)—both hormonal and copper coils—as well as Nexplanon contraceptive implants. She also offers personalised treatment for PMS, PMDD, and low libido, including the use of HRT, testosterone therapy and non-hormonal alternatives to HRT. She is interested in headaches and menopause.
Her holistic approach ensures that every consultation takes into account physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors, providing truly individualised care for each patient.

Dr Hines is not covered by insurance so all patients will be seen as self-pay. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure the appointment.

Menopause Information
Dr Hines is on the British Menopause Society specialist register and is able to prescribe testosterone to help with the Menopause.
