Dr Rachel Hines is a Menopause Specialist and General Practitioner with a focus on women's health. She has completed Advanced Menopause Training with the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and is a registered British Menopause Society menopause specialist. Dr Hines specialises in perimenopause and menopause care and offers personalised treatment using HRT, testosterone therapy for low libido and treatments for genitourinary syndrome of menopause. She also uses non hormonal treatments to treat menopause symptoms.

Background
Dr Hines graduated from the University of Leeds in 2001 and qualified as a GP in 2006. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and holds postgraduate Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Paediatrics. She is a clinical advisor for The Menopause Charity and is a member of the British and International Menopause Societies.

With over 20 years of medical experience, Dr Hines takes a holistic approach and ensures that every consultation considers physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors, providing truly individualised care for each patient. She is passionate about empowering women to take control of their health, using evidence-based treatments.

Dr Hines is skilled in fitting intrauterine devices (coils)—both hormonal and copper—as well as Nexplanon contraceptive implants. She provides emergency contraception and sexual health care.

She has a wealth of experience as an NHS GP focusing on women’s health. She also spent four years working in community gynaecology. She is interested in all areas of hormonal health, particularly PMS, PMDD, PCOS and hormonal headaches.
Dr Hines is also interested in adolescent health and sees girls from 13 upwards, focusing on all areas of hormonal health including PMS and period concerns including heavy, painful or irregular periods.
She has worked as a menopause specialist for Holland & Barrett.

Dr Hines is not covered by insurance so all patients will be seen as self-pay. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure the appointment.

Menopause Information
Dr Hines is on the British Menopause Society specialist register and is able to prescribe testosterone to help with the Menopause.
