Miss Yasmin Huq

Miss Huq is a warm, approachable and highly skilled Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She is known for her clear, reassuring communication and her genuine commitment to providing women with personalised, compassionate and confident care.
She is Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital, where she provides high risk obstetric and ambulatory gynaecology care.
Background
Miss Huq qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2001 before completing the Guy’s and St Thomas’ surgical rotation, where she gained her MRCS. She then went on to specialise in obstetrics and gynaecology, achieving her MRCOG, and developing particular expertise in maternal medicine and high-risk obstetrics.
Her academic background includes an MD(Res) from UCL, focusing on advancing care for women with complex medical needs in pregnancy. As a Maternity Risk Lead, Miss Huq has played a key role in enhancing safety, communication and collaborative working within maternity services.
