Menopause & HRT

What is the Menopause?

The average age of menopause in the UK is 51. However, for some women symptoms can start much earlier than this. Common symptoms include hot flushes and night sweats, although many women also experience problems with sleep and concentration, changes in their bladder function and sexual difficulties due to a lack of libido or vaginal dryness.

Symptoms associated with the menopause can have a significant impact on your life but we are here to help you manage this. We are able to prescribe Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), including testosterone for libido, and will take into account your individual symptoms and your personal and family history to assess for risk factors.

Our in-house GP, Dr Rachel Hines has completed her Advanced Menopause training with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, and specialises in Menopause Care. She takes a holistic approach towards assessing and treating menopausal symptoms to provide personalised care.

We also recommend the Women’s Health Concern and The Daisy Network for more information and support regarding the menopause, premature menopause and HRT.
